It's starting to get warmer here in Boston and lately, and you can always tell b/c everywhere you look there are people sunbathing. Literally, if there is a 2x2 square foot of grass, there will be 4 people crowded on it taking in some much needed Vitamin D after a long winter. One of my favorite things about living in Boston's North End is the proximity to the coolest little neighborhood pool, the Mirabella. It's located right on the waterfront so you can see boats going by, and is full of some of the funniest old Italian men and women from the neighborhood. It's been around for years, dating all the way back to a real beach that used to be in it's place. It's a great place to hang out when you can't get out to the beach, (there's a lot close by too!) or if the ocean water is just too darn cold still. Monty and I walk by nearly every day and I'm dying for it to get warm enough to open!
One of the downsides to warmer weather however, is the illusive swimwear search that ensues around this time of year. I'm a pretty short and curvy lady, and it's normally SO difficult to find a swimsuit that will fit my weirdly shaped body (i.e. will support the ladies up top and not be huge everywhere else...I have the flattest behind known to man!) I'm not much of a two piece girl, (hey some things need to be covered up,) but luckily, we seem to finally have entered a time where there are some LOVELY one pieces that don't look like something your great Aunt Hilda would wear to the beach. These are some of my favorite trends and suits that I've been seeing lately...
