Tattoosday: Crafty Inspirations

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

It's tattoo time! It's no mystery that I love all things crafting and tattoos, so it's only natural that I am constantly pining over people's crafty tattoo ideas. I've been working on drawing out a rough draft of what I want to take to my tattoo consultation for my next shoulder piece (which I'm hoping to share with y'all next week) and am trying to decide if I'm going to brave a new shop here in Boston or wait until I'm home for Christmas in Springfield. I'm DYING for it! In the meantime, couldn't wait to show you just a few of the tattoos that aided my inspiration. Check out these lovelies...

*Elsie of A Beautiful Mess has so many great tattoos and I love that she incorporates just as much color in her tats as she does in her beautiful blog. My favorite is the Polaroid camera!

 * The Lone Knitta's pretty yarn tattoo.
* Dolly Cool Clare's embroidery themed tattoo.  I looove old stork scissors so much!

* For myself, I really like the kind of old school look of outlining for tattoos, but I just think this one is so beautiful!  It's so intricate and airy.
* This sewing themed tattoo from Kaylah at The Dainty Squid.  I just LOVE this lady's blog and style, she's so wonderful and unique!

* Miss Kaelah at Little Chief Honeybee has some of the most fun tattoos that I've ever seen, and though it's not really craft specific, I had to share her lovely leg tattoos.  They remind me so much of my hipster cameos that I've been making, and I love how whimsical and woodsy they are.

*** Just as a side note, no one wants their tattoos to be blatantly ripped off, so please note that while these wonderful tattoos serve as great inspiration they are personal statements for each individual and shouldn't be copied.

Would you ever get a hobby themed tattoo?
